HERB GARDEN 

Learn how to grow your own herb garden so you can enjoy that fresh taste all spring/summer long. It is easy. Also, you will learn how to dry, freeze and store herbs. Class will be held April 30.

HOW TO BUILD SUCCULENT DISHES

Succulent dish gardens will bring beauty to any room. You will learn how to plant succulents in attractive containers that complement the room they will be displayed in. After registration, students will be emailed a list of items to bring to class, including the succulent plants and the dish used. If no email address is provided, call 724-863-5643 for the list. The material fee includes soil and moss. Class will be held March 5.

KNOW YOUR NATIVE WILDFLOWERS

This course is a power point presentation by Murrysville’s Volunteer Coordinator of Parks. There will also be a discussion of where to see these flowers and when best to see them. Class will be held April 10.

NATIVE PLANTS FOR YOUR GARDEN

Learn about perennials and perennial gardening. Site selection, soil preparation, garden design and care of plants will be covered. Learn about the many varieties of perennials that exist. Also learn what plants attract butterflies. Class will be held April 16.

DO YOU HAVE AN ALIEN IN YOUR BACKYARD?

Discussion and Power Point presentation about invasive plants in our yards and parks by Murrysville’s Volunteer Coordinator of Parks. Learn which invasive plants are not good for butterflies and birds. Bring your own specimens for identification. Class will be held on May 8.
