HATHA YOGA (ALL LEVELS)

Stretching exercises called “poses” done in an orderly manner to balance the coordination of the mind and the body.  Controlled breathing techniques to energize the body and relaxation poses to reduce the stress in the mind and the body.  Bring a yoga mat and towel.  Class begins September 20 at Redstone Highlands, 4953 Cline Hollow Rd., Murrysville.

PRAISEMOVES

PraiseMoves is designed to be a Christian alternative to yoga.  It combines a low impact aerobic warm-up with powerful stretching postures while integrating scripture verses and Christian music.  We exercise the body, mind and spirit.  Exercises can be modified for seniors and those with limited mobility.  Please bring an exercise mat and water bottle.  Class begins September 21 at St. Alban’s Church Fellowship Hall, 4920 Cline Hollow Rd., Murrysville.

SILVERSNEAKERS YOGA

SilverSneakers yoga will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses.  Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of seated and standing postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement.  Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.   Class begins September 18 at Dean’s Health & Fitness Center, 4540 Wm. YOGA

Join a Vinyasa style mat class in which movements flow from one to another in conjunction with breath.  Breath with movement offers a natural way to reduce stress.  This style blends strength, balance and flexibility into a user-friendly style attainable by individuals of all ages and fitness levels.  Every individual can build a healthy body and obtain a calmer mind with a safe and effective yoga practice.   Classes will be held at Dean’s Health & Fitness Center, 4540 Wm.
